BUNER: The relief operation of the Pakistan Army and Frontier Corps is in full swing in the areas affected by heavy rains, floods and cloudbursts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Pakistan Army teams are engaged in relief activities in the affected districts of Buner, Swat and Bajaur. According to the ISPR and local officials, rations, clean drinking water and essential relief supplies are being delivered to the people stranded in the flood-affected areas through Pakistan Army helicopters, while the process of shifting the victims to safe places is also ongoing.
According to military sources, more troops have been dispatched to the affected areas to make the relief activities more rapid and effective. Officials have said that this relief operation will continue until all the affected people are safely rescued and their basic needs are met.
The flood has affected the communication system in many areas, for which teams of the Corps of Engineers are also active. The Pakistan Army has also said that the protection of life and property of the people is being given top priority, and the army will continue to provide all possible assistance in this hour of difficulty.
