BALOCHISTAN: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has said that the Pakistan Army will ensure peace, prosperity and stability in Balochistan and will stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Balochistan.
He said this during an important visit to Balochistan, where he reviewed the security situation and development projects. According to the ISPR, the Field Marshal visited Turbat, where he was given a detailed briefing on the overall security situation, threats faced, successful operations against “Fitna-ul-Hindustan”, and ongoing development and social projects in southern Balochistan.
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, Chief Secretary Balochistan and other senior officials were also present during the visit. The Field Marshal stressed the importance of good governance, improvement of infrastructure, and people-friendly development strategies while meeting the civil leadership.
He highlighted that close cooperation and coordination between civil and military institutions is essential to meet the challenges facing Balochistan. The Field Marshal also reiterated the unwavering support of the Pakistan Army for the socio-economic development of Balochistan.
Field Marshal Asim Munir met the soldiers serving on the frontline, and appreciated their high morale, passion for defending national sovereignty and professional readiness. He paid rich tribute to the role of the soldiers in establishing peace and stability in the region. Earlier, upon his arrival in Turbat, the Corps Commander Balochistan received the Field Marshal.
