Pakistan’s volleyball team kicked off their AVC Asian Volleyball Nations Cup campaign with a thrilling 3-1 victory over the Philippines on the tournament’s opening day.
The Green Shirts dominated the first two sets, winning 25-18 and 25-12, thanks to strong teamwork and powerful attacks. However, the Philippines fought back in the third set, taking it 25-18 to stay alive in the match.
The fourth set was a close battle, but Pakistan held their nerve to win 25-22, sealing the match after an intense one-hour and six-minute contest. Key players Afaaq Khan, Masoor Khan, and Murad Khan led Pakistan’s charge, contributing to their 48 attack points, 14 blocks, and 28 points from opponents’ errors.
Pakistan’s next match is against Chinese Taipei on Thursday.
