Pakistan cancels visas of Indian broadcasters working for PSL X

Today’s PSL match in Rawalpindi postponed; remaining fixtures likely to be shifted to Karachi

LAHORE: Amid rising tensions between Pakistan and India, the Pakistani government has canceled the visas of Indian broadcasters involved with the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season X, ordering their immediate expulsion from the country.

In compliance with government directives, 23 Indian crew members working for the PSL broadcast company were deported under the supervision of Lahore police and were sent back to India via the Wagah Border.

Sources confirmed that the swift decision was made to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and national dignity, especially in light of India’s recent aggressive and hostile actions.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) assured that this move would not affect the broadcast of PSL 10 matches. The board has already arranged for alternative broadcasters to ensure the uninterrupted coverage of the remaining matches, adhering to the original schedule and guaranteeing that cricket fans will not face any disruptions.

The PCB emphasised that all matches and their live broadcasts would continue smoothly, providing full entertainment for viewers.

Officials stated that this action was a clear message to India, reinforcing Pakistan’s commitment to protecting its sovereignty and prioritising national interests.

Before their departure, approximately 23 Indian technical and production staff were performing essential roles in the PSL broadcasting team.
