Pakistan committed to ceasefire, forces acting responsibly: FO

The Foreign Office (FO) has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to the recent ceasefire agreement with India, emphasising that its security forces are managing the situation with responsibility and restraint.

The statement came in response to allegations made earlier today by the Indian Foreign Secretary, who claimed that Pakistan was violating the ceasefire.

Responding to media queries, the FO spokesperson said:
“Pakistan remains committed to the sincere and full implementation of the ceasefire agreement announced earlier today between Pakistan and India.”

The spokesperson further stated that despite violations reportedly committed by Indian forces in certain areas, Pakistan’s armed forces continue to exercise responsibility and restraint in their response.

He emphasised the importance of addressing any challenges to the ceasefire through established communication channels and called for cooperation.

“Any issues affecting the smooth implementation of the ceasefire should be resolved through communication at the appropriate levels. Troops on both sides must also exercise restraint,” the spokesperson added.
