Pakistan defeat UAE in T20I tri-series second match

After Nine-Year Gap, Pakistan and UAE Renew Rivalry on Cricket Field

SHARJAH: In the second match of the tri-series, Pakistan defeated the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by 31 runs.

Batting first, Pakistan were bowled out for 207 in 20 overs. Opener Saim Ayub top-scored with 69 runs, while Hasan Nawaz added 56. Mohammad Nawaz (25) and Faheem Ashraf (16) also chipped in, though seven batters failed to reach double figures. For UAE, Junaid Siddiqui and Saghar Khan took three wickets each, while Haider Ali claimed two.

In reply, UAE managed 178/8 in their allotted overs. Asif Khan played a fighting knock of 77, while skipper Mohammad Wasim scored 33 before being run out. Hasan Ali led Pakistan’s bowling with three wickets, Mohammad Nawaz picked up two, while Saim Ayub and Salman Mirza took one each.

Earlier, Pakistan had defeated Afghanistan by 39 runs in the tournament opener, maintaining their top spot on the points table.
