Pakistan denounce Israel plan to occupy Gaza City

Pakistan strongly condemned Israel’s decision to take control of Gaza City, calling it a dangerous escalation in an already devastating conflict against the Palestinian people.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned the move, saying, “The Israeli cabinet’s approval of the illegal occupation of Gaza City demonstrates the extreme intensity of the war that is already wreaking havoc on a large scale.”

The Prime Minister said, “This expansion of military operations will further exacerbate the existing humanitarian crisis. Such actions destroy the remaining prospects for peace in the region.”

The Prime Minister stressed the need to identify the root causes of the ongoing tragedy. He said that as long as Israel continues to occupy Palestinian land, peace will remain a dream.

Reiterating Pakistan’s unwavering support for the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state, the Prime Minister called on the international community to intervene immediately and stop Israel’s unjustified aggression.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) condemned it. The spokesperson said that Pakistan strongly rejects Israel’s plan to control Gaza, which is a violation of UN Security Council resolutions and indicates an intention to expand the military offensive on Gaza.
