ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar has dismissed Indian propaganda of shooting down Pakistani F-16 and JF-17 Thunder fighter jets.
In a statement on the social media platform X, he termed India’s claims as false and propaganda. He stated that fabricated and baseless stories would lead India nowhere, adding that such claims reveal India’s growing desperation. Meanwhile, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar clarified that Pakistan has not targeted any location in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir or across the international border, and no losses have been sustained by the Pakistan Air Force. In a statement on X, he said Indian media is spreading disinformation to craft a fake notion of success, after facing embarrassing losses during their unprovoked aggression. Pakistan’s military said India targeted six locations, and at least 31 civilians were killed and 57 others injured in the strikes and cross-border firing along the Line of Control. The Pakistan armed forces shot down five Indian Air Force (IAF) jets, a combat drone, and destroyed brigade headquarters, including a number of check posts along the LoC, after New Delhi carried out missile strikes in cities of Punjab and AJK, DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry confirmed.
