Pakistan hosts eighth Int’l Army Team Spirit event

RAWALPINDI: The 8th International Pakistan Army Team Spirit (PATS) Competition was held at Kharian Garrison, featuring a demanding 60-hour-long patrolling exercise aimed at enhancing combat proficiency through the exchange of innovative ideas and experiences among participants.

The exercise brought together seven teams from the Pakistan Army, one from the Pakistan Navy, and fifteen teams representing friendly nations. Conducted in the semi-mountainous terrain of Punjab, the competition has steadily grown into a prestigious and highly competitive professional military event on the international stage.

Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest. He commended all participating teams for their professionalism, physical and mental endurance, and the high morale they exhibited throughout the exercise.

General Munir reaffirmed that the Pakistan Army is rooted in the strong military values of character, courage, and competence — qualities that continue to shine through, especially in the nation’s ongoing fight against terrorism.
