Pakistan could experience record-breaking heat this week, with temperatures possibly reaching 50°C in central and southern areas, according to a report by The Washington Post. The newspaper warned that South Asia might face extreme heat, potentially setting a new global record.
In April 2018, Nawabshah, Pakistan, recorded 50°C, the highest temperature ever observed in Asia during that month. This year, Sindh and other regions are again under threat of severe heatwaves.
