Pakistan Navy ship ASLAT undertakes counter-piracy patrols off Somalia’s coast

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Navy Ship ASLAT conducted counter-piracy patrols in the Arabian Sea near Somalia’s eastern coast as part of operations under Combined Task Force 151 (CTF-151), currently commanded by the Pakistan Navy.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), CTF-151 is actively bolstering its regional presence and maintaining vigilance against piracy threats in the Gulf of Aden, the Socotra Gap area, and along Somalia’s eastern shoreline.

These operations are focused on deterring piracy, armed robbery, and other unlawful activities to safeguard critical Sea Lines of Communication (SLOCs).

The deployment of PNS ASLAT demonstrates Pakistan Navy’s strong commitment to maritime security, countering piracy, and supporting the safe and uninterrupted flow of global maritime trade, the ISPR added.
