LAHORE: Pakistan Railways has announced a 20% reduction in train fares for Eidul Fitr. This discount will apply to all mail, express, and intercity trains nationwide.
The fare reduction will be valid for all three days of Eid. It will also apply to advance bookings, helping commuters plan their trips. However, the discount will not apply to special Eid trains.
Pakistan Railways will run five special trains to facilitate passengers travelling before and after Eid ul-Fitr.
According to the Pakistan Railway, five special trains will be run on several routes of the country on Eid with the aim to meet increased travel demand.
Special trains will offer various classes, including economy, AC business, and AC standard, to accommodate different passenger needs.
