Pakistan skipper Agha boycotts post-match ceremony after Indian team refuses handshakes

DUBAI: Pakistan skipper Salman Ali Agha decided to boycott the post-match presentation ceremony in protest of the failure of Indian players to shake hands with their Pakistani counterparts.

Indian players allegedly left the ground without engaging in customary handshakes, which left Pakistani players frustrated and upset. Salman boycotted the ceremony not only that but also did not receive the Indian commentator who was due to conduct the presentation.

Sources from the Pakistan team reported that had there been a Pakistani host, Salman would have attended the ceremony.

Pakistan’s head coach Mike Hesson also defended his captain and called Indian team conduct unsportsmanlike.

International cricket has some minimum standards of respect and professionalism, according to Hesson. What we saw today was below that.
