RAWALPINDI: Pakistan has successfully launched retaliatory operation Bunyan Marsoos and destroyed Brahamos missile stockpiles inside the Indian territory Udham Pur and Pathan Kot Airbase.
Security sources said the operation Bunyan Marsoos (strong iron wall) was launched at early hour of Saturday. Pakistan army targeted those bases, which were used as launching pad against peaceful worship places in Pakistan. Sources confirmed that a counter-operation is currently underway, with Pakistani forces actively engaged in targeting multiple Indian positions. As part of the operation, Pakistan has destroyed a Brahmos missile storage site in the Beas area, which was reportedly used to launch missiles at Pakistan. In addition, the Udhampur Airbase has been destroyed, and the airfield in Pathankot has also been rendered non-operational, sources confirmed. As part of the operation, all bases identified as launch points for attacks on Pakistani civilians and mosques are being specifically targeted.
Multiple strategic targets are being engaged simultaneously as the operation progresses, according to security sources. India carried out airstrikes on three Pakistan Air Force (PAF) bases, Nur Khan, Murid, and Shorkot. In an emergency press conference held in the early hours of Saturday, Director General ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry confirmed that all PAF assets remained safe.“Continuing its naked aggression, India some time back has fired air-to-surface missiles with its jets. PAF Nur Khan base, PAF Murid base and Shorkot base were targeted,” he stated. DG ISPR further confirmed that “the majority” of Indian missiles fired at PAF airbases were successfully intercepted by the armed forces’ defense systems. He added that the few missiles that managed to evade interception “sneaked in” but, according to initial damage assessment reports, have “not been able to cause any damage” to PAF’s flying assets.
Lt Gen Chaudhry stated that Pakistan’s armed forces remain “vigilant and are thwarting all these cowardly acts of aggression by Indians.” He described the recent strikes as part of a broader and escalating campaign by India, which he said reflects growing internal instability. “These blatant acts of aggression by India actually reflect the paranoia within Indian mindset which continues to grow after failure of each of this act,” he said. “The paranoia continues to also grow once it realizes that they cannot break the resolve and will of the people of Pakistan which actually strengthens and further grows with each such cowardly act.”
