RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan-Tajikistan Joint Counter-Terrorism Exercise Dosti-II took place from 4 to 9 August 2026 at the Fakhrobod Base in Tajikistan.
The exercise featured two combat teams from the Pakistan Army’s Light Commando Battalion and four teams from the Tajik Special Forces. Both sides successfully achieved all set objectives in training and military diplomacy.
The closing ceremony on 9 August was attended by Pakistan’s Defence Attaché in Tajikistan, Colonel Muhammad Muazzam Zafar, as the Chief Guest from Pakistan, along with senior Tajik military officials. Participating troops displayed outstanding professionalism, skill, and discipline.
Aimed at enhancing the long-standing defence cooperation between Pakistan and Tajikistan, Dosti-II focused on refining joint counter-terrorism tactics, procedures, and operational techniques through intensive training.
