ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation on Sunday with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
Both leaders expressed serious concern over the escalating regional tensions following Israel’s unjustified attacks on Iran.
Deputy Prime Minister Dar also confirmed his participation in the upcoming session of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers, as well as the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum’s event in Istanbul, which will honor President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
A day earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Erdogan also held talks, during which they strongly condemned Israel’s airstrikes on Iran, calling them a violation of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and a breach of the UN Charter and international law.
The two leaders warned that such actions threatened both regional and global stability.
They further denounced Israel’s continued military aggression against the Palestinian people, carried out with complete impunity, and stressed the urgent need for a united response from the international community and the United Nations.
