Asia Cup: Pakistan will play its first T20 match against Oman today

This match is being seen as a warm-up before the match against India; undoubtedly, the Pakistani team is better than Oman and will try to perform well.

National team head coach Mike Hesson has described the Dubai pitch as favourable for batsmen. He said that the Pakistan team has multi-skilled players. Omani team captain Jitendra Singh, while talking to the media, said that the Pakistani team has no competition from Oman, but anything can happen in the T20 format. According to a report by Cricinfo, the expected playing XI from Pakistan includes Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Salman Ali Agha, Hassan Nawaz, Muhammad Haris, Muhammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Abrar Ahmed.  The expected playing XI of the Omani team includes Aamir Kaleem, Jitendra Singh, Hammad Mirza, Mohammad Nadeem, Ayan Khan, Aryan Bisht, Vinay Shukla, Shakeel Ahmed, Ashish Odedra, Hasnain Shah and Zakaria Islam. It should be noted that Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will face each other in the fifth match on September 13, the sixth and biggest match of the Asia Cup will be between Pakistan and India on September 14, and the UAE and Oman will face each other in the seventh match on September 15.

The eighth match will be played between Hong Kong and Sri Lanka in Dubai on September 15, the ninth match between Afghanistan and Bangladesh will be played on September 16, and the tenth match between Pakistan and the UAE will be played on September 17. The eleventh match will be played between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka on September 18. The twelfth and final pool match of the T20 Asia Cup will be played between India and Oman on the 19th.
