PESHAWAR: Dr. Muhammad Haris, Divisional Head of the National Youth Assembly Peshawar, has returned to Pakistan after completing a three-month specialized agricultural training program in China. The program, organized at Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University in Yangling, Shaanxi, was part of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s initiative to revolutionize Pakistan’s agriculture sector through modern technology and expertise.
Dr. Haris was among 300 Pakistani agricultural graduates selected for the first batch of 1,000 trainees sent to China. The program aimed to equip participants with advanced farming techniques to boost Pakistan’s agricultural productivity.
During his training, Dr. Haris learned animal disease diagnosis, immunity-boosting methods, breeding techniques, and genetic improvement strategies. He believes these skills can significantly improve Pakistan’s livestock sector, helping farmers increase their income and reduce poverty.
The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to modernizing agriculture by adopting Chinese expertise and technology. Dr. Haris plans to implement his newly acquired knowledge to benefit local farmers and contribute to Pakistan’s agricultural growth.
