ISLAMABAD: Following India’s recent airstrikes on Pakistani territory, a wave of strong reactions from Pakistani celebrities has swept across social media, condemning the aggression and expressing deep concern for the nation and its people.
Actress Hania Amir voiced her anguish in an Instagram Story, writing: “I don’t have fancy words right now. I just have anger, pain, and a heavy heart. A child is gone. Families are shattered. And for what? This isn’t protection—it’s cruelty, plain and simple.”
Veteran actor Mahira Khan denounced the attack as “seriously cowardly,” offering prayers for the country. “May Allah protect our country, may better sense prevail. Ameen,” she posted.
Sisters and outspoken public figures Urwa and Mawra Hocane also reacted strongly. Urwa described the situation as not a conventional war but a confrontation with “a petty neighbour” attempting to justify “fake propaganda for political mileage.”
The strikes—launched from Indian airspace—targeted multiple locations, including Kotli, Bahawalpur, Muridke, Bagh, and Muzaffarabad. Several mosques were struck, and surrounding residential areas suffered extensive damage.
In response, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that Pakistan’s armed forces downed five Indian fighter jets—three Rafales, one Su-30MKI, and one MiG-29—and destroyed an Indian brigade headquarters and a checkpost along the Line of Control.
Amid rising tensions, actress Ayeza Khan shared a powerful video clip of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah reiterating the principle of religious freedom in Pakistan. She added: “Pakistan Zindabad. We’ve shown courage, composure, and unity. May Allah bless humanity, and may peace prevail.”
Actor Fawad Khan took a more solemn tone, urging restraint. “My heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims,” he said. “Let’s not fuel the fire with provocative words. Innocent lives are too high a price.”
From Fahad Mustafa and Ushna Shah to Hina Altaf and Minal Khan, the message across the entertainment industry was consistent: a firm condemnation of violence, heartfelt prayers for the victims, and a collective call for peace and stability.
As diplomatic tensions remain high and international observers monitor the situation closely, Pakistan’s cultural voices have emerged as powerful advocates for unity, compassion, and national resolve.
