An important meeting of Pakistani-origin British lawyers and legal experts was held in London under the chairmanship of Pakistan’s High Commissioner to the UK, Dr. Muhammad Faisal. The discussions focused on the Indus Waters Treaty and other legal matters of national importance.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Faisal emphasized that the Indus River is not just a water resource for Pakistan but a lifeline crucial for the country’s economy and regional stability. He warned that any harm to the river could threaten peace in the region.
The High Commissioner stressed that water should not be used as a weapon but treated as a shared natural resource, calling for responsible usage. He urged India to fulfill its international obligations under the Indus Waters Treaty to prevent disputes from escalating.
