Pakistan’s young stars shine in latest T20 ranking

Pakistani cricketers have shown notable improvement in the latest ICC T20 International rankings following their strong performances against the West Indies. Several young players have made significant jumps, while some senior stars have slipped due to inactivity.

Batting Rankings

  • Hassan Nawaz rose 24 spots to 30th

  • Saim Ayub climbed 25 places to 37th

  • Sahibzada Farhan surged 34 positions to 63rd

  • Captain Salman Ali Agha improved 15 spots to 76th

  • Fakhar Zaman moved up 3 places to 78th

However, Babar Azam (17th) and Mohammad Rizwan (19th) each dropped three places after not playing T20Is since 2024. Mohammad Haris fell 21 spots to 86th after a poor West Indies tour.

Bowling Rankings

  • Shaheen Afridi slipped one place to 36th

  • Safyan Muqeem jumped 69 spots to 34th

  • Haris Rauf remained at 26th

  • Abbas Afridi dropped to 27th

All-Rounder Rankings

  • Saim Ayub rose 70 places to 24th

  • Mohammad Nawaz improved to 36th

The rankings are currently led by India’s Abhishek Sharma (batting), New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy (bowling), and India’s Hardik Pandya (all-rounder).
