ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has called an in-camera Parliamentary Committee on National Security meeting. He did so on the advice of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif
The National Assembly spokesperson announced that the meeting will take place on Tuesday at 1:30 pm in the National Assembly Hall. Speaker Ayaz Sadiq will chair the session.
Speaker convened the meeting on the advice of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Officials will brief the committee on the country’s security situation. Military leaders will brief the members of committee on the latest developments.
Parliamentary leaders of all political parties and their nominated representatives will attend. Cabinet members will also be present.
The military leadership will brief the parliamentary committee on the current security scenario.
The statement further added that the in-camera session will include a briefing on national security challenges, followed by consultations among political parties to formulate a unified policy.
