ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has reversed the decision of reducing match fees for players participating in the upcoming National T20 Cup.
Earlier, the PCB had slashed players’ match fees by 75 percent for players. The PCB had decided that players in the tournament will be paid match fees of PKR 10,000, a 75% fall from the last edition of the tournament, where players were paid match fees of PKR 40,000.
Mohsin Naqvi, however, takes notice and directed the Director of Domestic Cricket, Abdullah Niazi, not to reduce match fees.
It would be a major cut if implemented to Ramiz Raja’s tenure, where players were paid 60,000 as match fees for the tournament in 2022.
According to a PCB spokesperson, the PCB Chairman has also issued orders for an immediate review of the match fees of all players.
