PCB Denies Player Fight Rumors, Vows Legal Action Against Fake News

LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has strongly denied viral social media claims of a clash between star bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi and batsman Salman Ali Agha during a team practice session.

In an official statement, the PCB called the reports “baseless and fabricated”, stressing that no such incident occurred between players or coaching staff. The board accused “misleading elements” of trying to disrupt team unity and warned of legal action under cybercrime and defamation laws.

Zero Tolerance for Fake News
The PCB said it will sue those spreading false rumors and urged media and social media users to avoid sharing unverified news. “We stand firmly with our players and will protect their dignity,” the statement added.

The PCB reiterated its commitment to maintaining a positive environment for the national team amid what it called an “organized conspiracy” to create chaos.
