PCB denies reports of changes in Selection Committee

PCB initiates talent hunt program for budding school, college cricketers

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has quashed speculation about changes to its national selection committee, confirming the panel remains unchanged with former Test captain Azhar Ali, ex-fast bowler Aqib Javed, elite umpire Aleem Dar, and veteran batter Asad Shafiq.

In a clarification issued today, PCB spokesperson Usman Hashmi stated that Hassan Cheema (previously the data analyst) has been replaced by Usman Hashmi in the data selection committee. However, the new appointee will not have voting rights in national team selections.

The board emphasized that the core selection committee remains intact and will continue its protocol of consulting the head coach and captain of each format (Test, ODI, T20) before finalizing squads.
