PCB hosts grand ceremony for women's cricket World Cup teams in Lahore

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) hosted a grand welcome for the women’s Cricket teams of the World Cup on Sunday.

A grand ceremony was held at the Royal Fort in honor of the players and officials of the 6 teams of the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifier hosted by Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi.

Players from Pakistan, Bangladesh, West Indies, Ireland, Scotland and Thailand attended the ceremony where they were given a royal welcome, cultural highlights and a tour of historical sites.

The ceremony was attended by foreign guests with drum, Kathak dance, Rangeela rickshaw rides, and glimpses of the Mughal era. At the end of the ceremony, a lavish dinner was given in honor of all the guests, in which they were treated to local cuisine.

Chairman PCB Mohsin Naqvi said that we warmly welcome all the guest teams to the land of the living heart of Lahore, he said that Pakistan is a peaceful, safe and cricket-loving country. We hope that your stay will not only be pleasant but also memorable.

Foreign players and officials thanked the PCB for the memorable event and said that they would return with beautiful and happy memories.

The event was also attended by US Consul General Kristen K. Hawkins, senior PCB officials, referees, umpires and other important figures.
