PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has issued a warning of possible flash floods, urban flooding, landslides, and strong winds amid the ongoing spell of rains in the province.
The PDMA Emergency Operations Center remains functional round the clock, and citizens can report any emergencies or incidents by calling helpline 1700.
Meanwhile, a high-level flood situation has been reported in the Sutlej River at Ganda Singhwala near Kasur. According to Rescue 1122, floodwaters have already affected more than 30 villages in the area.
The district administration is actively monitoring the situation and has initiated emergency measures, including the evacuation of residents from vulnerable and affected localities.
