PESHAWAR: Peshawar police on Tuesday arrested three suspects involved in a bank robbery in the provincial capital.
Addressing a press conference, SSP Operations Masood Bangash, who led the operation, said that the police acted swiftly on a bank robbery and arrested four suspects and recovered looted money from them.
He said that the police launched operations in various angles after the incident.
They succeeded in chasing the culprits within hours of the incident and recovered the looted money.
After the incident, police launched operations in different areas and arrested the suspects. They also recovered Rs 25 million.
The robbery took place in the Hashtangari area, where armed men looted a bank vehicle in broad daylight. The robbers stole over Rs 30 million.
SSP Operations Masood Bangash led the operation in the Warsak Road Kabapian area. Police arrested three suspects and recovered the stolen money.
Yesterday, robbers targeted a private bank’s cash vehicle on GT Road in Hashtangari.
Three armed men stopped the vehicle at gunpoint, stole the cash, and fled.
Police analysed various leads and reviewed CCTV footage from the crime scene to chase down the robbers.
According to police, the robbers stole Rs 30 million from the cash van.
