The Peshawar Techball Championship recently concluded at Qayyum Stadium, with the Director General of Sports for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Tashfeen Haider, attending the closing ceremony as the special guest.
A total of 55 male and female players from across the district participated in the championship. In the men’s singles final, Hidayat-ur-Rehman emerged victorious, defeating Hasnain Riaz. Meanwhile, in the women’s singles competition, Safa Marwa triumphed over Hina Khan with a score of 2-0.
Hidayat-ur-Rehman and Safa Marwa were also declared winners in the mixed doubles category, while Monam Siddiqui and Jalaluddin claimed victory in the men’s doubles final.
During the ceremony, DG Sports Tashfeen Haider distributed prizes to the winning players. Officials from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Techball Association and Federation were also in attendance.
DG Sports Tashfeen Haider expressed his commitment to supporting the promotion of Techball and commended the talents of the Techball players.
