PESHAWAR: Chief Minister CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur has announced a series of major development projects aimed at making Peshawar the “best and most beautiful” capital in Pakistan. The initiatives cover health, education, infrastructure, beautification, and public transport to improve living standards in the city.
Speaking about the vision for Peshawar, Gandapur said, “We have to bring Peshawar to the first place in terms of beauty. After our rule, it will be known as the most beautiful city.”
Key projects include the Ring Road Missing Link, expansion of BRT services to more areas, and the construction of underpasses to ease traffic congestion. Additionally, the government is working on drainage systems and clean drinking water schemes to address long-standing civic issues.
The CM also mentioned that while the tender for a solar power project was temporarily halted, citizens will start receiving solar panels within two months.
With these efforts, the provincial government aims to modernize Peshawar, enhance public facilities, and position it as a leading city in Pakistan.
