ISLAMABAD: Two-time Pakistan Super League (PSL) champions Peshawar Zalmi have kick-started their pre-tournament camp ahead of the upcoming edition of the double round robin tournament.
The highly anticipated six-team mega tournament will start on April 11 (Friday).
Most of the players including foreigners joined the training and net sessions being held at the Islamabad Club.
The Peshawar Zalmi stated in a statement that the team will also hold training and net sessions today (Monday) to boost their morale and confidence ahead of the tournament with only four days to go for PSL 2025 to get underway.
On the first day of training, both international and local players were seen training in batting and bowling sessions.
Meanwhile, Afghan cricketer Najibullah Zadran has also joined the squad and will be seen in action in today’s practice session.
The 10th edition of the HBL PSL is set to commence on Friday.
Defending champions Islamabad United will face two-time winners Lahore Qalandars in the opening match of the mega league at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Peshawar Zalmi will play its first match of the tournament on Saturday, April 12, against Quetta Gladiators at the same venue. The second match will be played against Defending champions Islamabad United on April 12.
The six-team tournament will feature 34 matches a double round robin format running from April 11 to May 18. The top four teams with the most points qualify for the playoffs. Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will host both the Eliminators and the final.
