Peshawar’s MNA writes to IGP KP on security situation in his constituency

PESHAWAR: Member National Assembly MNA for NA-32, Peshawar, Asif Khan has written a letter to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) over the deteriorating law and order situation in the Peshawar city.

MNA Asif Khan, in the letter, expressed serious concerns over the deteriorating law and order situation in his constituency (NA-32) and has requested the IGP to take immediate steps to ensure the safety of the residents.

The letter states that he is writing the letter for the second time. Despite the previous letter, no concrete action has been taken. Crime is increasing rapidly in the areas under the jurisdiction of Hashnagari, Shah Qabul, Phandu, Kabuli and Gulbahar police stations, including road robberies, snatching, aerial firing, target killings and other violent activities.

MNA highlighted in the letter that the failure of the concerned SHOs to control the criminal elements has created an atmosphere of fear and lawlessness. The current situation in Peshawar City (NA-32) indicates a serious lapse in security enforcement.
