ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced a reduction in the price of petrol by Rs1 per liter, effective from midnight tonight, following global market trends.
According to a notification issued by the Finance Division, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) revised petroleum prices in line with international rate fluctuations. The new price of petrol has been set at Rs254.63 per liter, down from the previous rate of Rs255.63.

However, the price of high-speed diesel (HSD) remains unchanged at Rs258.64 per liter. The adjustment comes as part of the government’s fortnightly price review mechanism for petroleum products.
The reduced petrol price is expected to provide slight relief to consumers amid ongoing inflationary pressures.
