ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s national flag carrier has announced special charter flights for fans and teams participating in the ICC Champions Trophy which begins tomorrow.
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced special charter flights for fans and teams participating in the ICC Champions Trophy.
On Tuesday, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) spokesperson said that national carrier will facilitate travel between the three cities of Pakistan for international teams.
The spokesperson added that the national airline, in collaboration with the Pakistan Cricket Board, has arranged special charter flights for the domestic transportation of cricket teams participating in the event.
According to the spokesperson, 9 special charter flights will be operated between Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore during the eight nation event. The national airline has made arrangements to showcase Pakistan’s culture during these flights.
The eight nations mega tournament will be played in Pakistani cities-Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi- and Dubai until March 9. Pakistan, Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand and South Africa will participate in the event.
Except for India, all matches will be held in Pakistan. India will pl ay its games in Dubai.
