PM Ahmed Ghalib among dead after Israel bombs Yemeni capital

Israeli Strike in Sana'a Kills Yemen's Prime Minister, Reports Say

Yemen’s Prime Minister PM, Ahmed Ghalib, was killed in an attack on a house in the capital city of Sana’a. Russian media reports that the attack was carried out by the Israeli military.

The airstrike, which hit the Hada area in southern Sana’a, also resulted in the deaths of three of Ghalib’s colleagues. Ahmed Ghalib was a key figure, belonging to the Houthi-led Ansar Allah movement and serving as a member of their Supreme Political Council. He had been appointed as Prime Minister just last year, in August.

However, the Yemeni Ministry of Defense has denied that its leadership was specifically targeted in these strikes. In a statement, they vowed to continue their operations in support of Palestinians in Gaza.

The Israeli army has claimed responsibility for the attacks, stating they were targeting Houthi positions and several leaders of the Ansar Allah group. This incident follows another Israeli airstrike on Yemen just four days ago, which killed 10 people and injured over 90 others.
