PM announces Youm-i-Tashakur to commemorate successful military operation against India

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that the nation will observe Youm-i-Tashakur (Day of Gratitude) to commemorate Pakistan’s resolute response to Indian aggression and the successful execution of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos, according to a report by the Associated Press of Pakistan.

In a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, the day will be dedicated to offering gratitude to God, honouring the exceptional courage of Pakistan’s armed forces, and recognising the unity and resilience of the nation.

“Operation Bunyan-um-Marsoos delivered a decisive and fitting response to the enemy’s aggression,” the Prime Minister stated. “Pakistan demonstrated its strength and preparedness on every front, maintaining national defence with unwavering resolve.”

He called upon citizens and religious scholars nationwide to hold special Thanksgiving prayers and remember the martyrs in their supplications.

“The sacrifices of our brave armed forces will never be forgotten. The nation stands firmly united behind them,” the Prime Minister affirmed.
