ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif kicked off the annual monsoon plantation campaign, emphasizing the importance of planting trees in conserving natural resources and mitigating the effects of climate change.
“Plantation has a positive impact on human life and plays a key role in the conservation and enhancement of invaluable natural resources, fauna, and flora,” PM Shehbaz said. “Increasing the proportion of plantations and forests to protect against the harmful effects of climate change is possible under an integrated and comprehensive strategy.”
