Islamabad:Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed warm Eid Al-Fitr greetings to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and the people of Iran in a telephone call on Monday.
During the conversation, PM Shehbaz emphasized the deep-rooted brotherly relations between Pakistan and Iran. “On behalf of the government and people of Pakistan, I extend my sincere congratulations to you, the Supreme Leader, and the people of Iran on this blessed occasion,” he said.
The prime minister highlighted the importance of enhancing trade and security cooperation between the two neighboring nations. “As close neighbors, Pakistan and Iran must work together to strengthen economic ties and address shared challenges, including border security,” he stated.
PM Shehbaz reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to further deepening bilateral relations with Iran in multiple sectors.

In a separate phone call, the prime minister also exchanged Eid wishes with Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and the people of Kazakhstan.
Both leaders reviewed the progress in bilateral relations and expressed satisfaction over growing cooperation in agriculture, trade, and investment.
PM Shehbaz welcomed President Tokayev’s upcoming visit to Pakistan later this year, stating, “Such high-level exchanges will further strengthen the partnership between our two countries.”
