PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir visited flood-affected areas and assessed the losses inflicted by the devastating flood in Buner and Swat.

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir first reached Swat, where Federal Minister Amir Muqam welcomed them. Officials say that after Swat, the Prime Minister and Field Marshal have left for Buner, where they will visit flood-affected areas.

It should be noted that more than 350 people have died so far due to recent rains and floods in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, of whom 228 people belong only from Buner.

On the other hand, the NDMA is continuing to deliver relief goods to the flood-affected areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to the NDMA, two separate relief consignments were sent to Bajaur and Mansehra this morning, which include tents, blankets, generators, dewatering pumps, ration bags and medicines.

According to the NDMA, the relief materials will be handed over to the relevant district administration for distribution among the flood victims. The NDMA is sending relief materials to KP and Gilgit-Baltistan in cooperation with the armed forces and welfare organizations.
