NEC approves Rs1,000 billion federal development budget

ISLAMABAD: The federal cabinet meeting in the chair with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will be held at 11:15 am today.

The federal cabinet meeting will be held at 11:15 am today at the Prime Minister’s House.

The federal cabinet will consider a 12-point agenda, including the political and economic situation of the country, while the appointment of Pakistan Ordnance Factory and Heavy Industries Taxila board members will be approved.

The cabinet meeting will approve the signing of the Convention for the Settlement of International Disputes, the signing of an agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary for trade activities for members of diplomatic missions.

In addition, the signing of a cooperation agreement on e-mobility between the Ministry of Industries and Production and the International Finance Corporation will be approved, while the approval of the summary of the Ministry of Interior regarding the instructions of the Islamabad High Court is included in the agenda.

In addition, the cabinet meeting will consider the Whistleblower Protection and Vigilance Commission Act, 2025, while the federal cabinet will decide on the additional charge of the Chairman Pakistan Tobacco Board.

Along with this, the decision of the Cabinet Committee on Privatization held on March 11 will be ratified, while the ratification of the decisions of the Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet held on March 13 and 21 is included in the agenda.
