Hot, dry weather likely to prevail over most parts of KP: PDMA

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted that Sunday will remain predominantly hot and dry across most parts of the country, with scorching conditions expected in the plains. However, regions like Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, and nearby hilly areas are likely to experience partly cloudy skies. Isolated showers, accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms, are also anticipated in some areas.

In Islamabad and surrounding areas, hot and dry weather is expected during the morning and early afternoon, with the possibility of partly cloudy skies later in the day.

Punjab will also experience hot and dry conditions across most districts, with extreme heat likely in the plains. Some areas, such as Murree, Galiyat, Jhelum, Chakwal, Sialkot, and Narowal, may see partly cloudy skies along with chances of rain, strong winds, and thundershowers.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is set to face extremely hot weather in many districts. As the day progresses, areas like Peshawar, Mansehra, Kohistan, Abbottabad, and Haripur may receive rain and experience gusty winds.

Sindh and Balochistan are expected to remain hot and dry across most districts, including Karachi. The plains in these provinces may experience intense heat, and strong, dusty winds are also likely during this period.

In Kashmir, partly cloudy weather is predicted with a chance of rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds at a few locations. Some areas may also receive heavy rainfall.

Similarly, Gilgit-Baltistan is likely to remain partly cloudy, with chances of rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds in isolated places.
