The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has officially released the new syllabus for MDCAT 2025, which has been uploaded on the official website.
The PMDC stated that they released the new curriculum on Thursday. The MDCAT exam is likely to be held on the last Sunday of September or the first Sunday of October. The newly released syllabus includes 5 subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English, and Logical Reasoning.
The paper will consist of 180 MCQs, the duration of which will be 3 hours. The distribution of questions will be 15% easy, 70% medium and 15% difficult.
President of PMDC Professor Rizwan Taj said that there will be no negative marking. The exam will be based on complete MCQs. 55% marks will be required for admission to medical and 50% marks for dental.
PM&DC has also started the process of preparing a question bank. The new syllabus has been prepared in consultation with education experts, boards and universities.
Professor Rizwan said that candidates should check the PM&DC website regularly for updates.
