BANNU: Bannu police foiled a terrorist attack on Fateh Khel police post last night after heavy exchange of fire, killing three attackers and injuring several others. The assailants, armed with light and heavy weapons, launched the assault but were met with immediate resistance from alert officers.
During the intense gun battle, one police officer embraced martyrdom while defending the post. Blood trails and abandoned footwear at the scene suggest wounded terrorists were dragged away by their accomplices. Security forces have launched a combing operation in the area to neutralize any remaining threats.
Senior police officials including DIG Bannu Sajjad Khan and DPO Saleem Abbas Kalachi visited the site, praising the bravery of their personnel. “KP Police stands firm against terrorism,” stated DIG Khan, vowing to continue the fight for peace. The martyred officer was hailed as a national hero for his ultimate sacrifice.
