ISLAMABAD: Senior officers of the Islamabad Police visited the families of fallen service members and distributed Eid gifts among their children, reaffirming their commitment to supporting the loved ones of those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
“We stand with the families of our martyrs on every occasion, whether of joy or sorrow,” said Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi.
He emphasized that the brave officers who laid down their lives in the line of duty were the true heroes of the force. “The department will never leave their families alone,” he assured.
A statement from the Islamabad Police Department highlighted that the families welcomed the officers’ presence and expressed gratitude for the tribute to the martyrs and the department’s continued welfare initiatives.
As part of its ongoing efforts, the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police Logistics Division has disbursed Rs329 million in dues to the families of 501 fallen officers, provided residential plots to 63 martyrs’ families, and allocated Rs510 million from the welfare fund in 2024.
