Alleged violence on a bike rider in Mansehra — the district police officer (DPO) of Mansehra has taken immediate notice, initiated a high-level inquiry, and suspended officials involved in the crime.
According to a complaint circulating on social media platforms, a sad incident of illegal detention, torture and harassment of a student (bike rider) by QRF team officials has come to light.
Taking immediate notice of the incident, DPO Mansehra Shafiullah Gandapur summoned the entire QRF team under the supervision of SP City Resham Jahangir to the DPO office and ordered the immediate suspension of both officials allegedly involved in the incident.
On the instructions of DPO Mansehra, a high-level inquiry has been initiated under the supervision of SP City Resham Jahangir, in which all evidence, CCTV footage and the detailed statement of the citizen will be included.
DPO Mansehra Shafiullah Gandapur said that Mansehra Police believes in public trust and the rule of law. Illegal behaviour, violence or any kind of mistreatment of citizens is not acceptable under any circumstances. Implementation of the zero tolerance policy is being ensured at all levels, and strict departmental action will be taken against the involved officials.
