As police pursued them, the smugglers opened fire. Officers returned fire, causing the vehicle to lose control and crash into a roadside wall. Taking advantage of the darkness, the suspects managed to escape before police arrived at the crash site.

The Excise Police confiscated the vehicle and recovered 204kg of hashish, worth millions in the market. A case has been registered at the Excise Peshawar Region Police Station, and efforts are underway to track down and arrest the suspects.
