PESHAWAR: PPP parliamentary leader Ahmed Kundi strongly criticized the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government during an assembly session, questioning the delay in implementing a new National Finance Commission (NFC) award since 2018.
Kundi called yesterday a “dark day” for the province, pointing out that out of the Rs 240 billion budget, Rs 194 billion was allocated for current expenses. He also mocked Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, saying he would be a “super hit” if he acted in films.
Highlighting financial mismanagement, Kundi revealed that Rs 120 million was spent on biscuits at the Chief Minister’s House. He demanded answers on why no new NFC award has been issued despite the 18th Constitutional Amendment (2010) granting more provincial powers.
He also condemned violence against government employees and criticized past military influence in governance, claiming funds for Kohat were not being properly transferred.
