CM Gandapur in hot water as PPP KP president plans FIR

The Pakistan People Party (PPP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s president, Mohammad Ali Shah Bacha, has filed an application at the police station Sharqi against the KP chief minister Ali Amin Gandapur, over alleged shelling by the KP police on May 26 during a rally carried out by the workers, leaders of the PPP.

An application has been submitted to register a case against Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur and others.

Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha, the Provincial President of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), filed the application at the East Police Station. The PPP is a democratic and peace-loving party.

On May 26, the party organised a peaceful protest against corruption in the province, during which individuals in plain clothes attacked the demonstrators. Videos of this violent incident have gone viral on social media, showing excessive use of tear gas.

The application alleges that all of these actions were carried out at the behest of the Chief Minister, who is accused of abusing his powers. Consequently, the application calls for a case to be registered against the Chief Minister and the others involved.
