ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have lauded the police for eliminating four terrorists during a successful operation in Dera Ghazi Khan.
In their separate statements, they appreciated the bravery and professionalism displayed by police officers and personnel in the line of duty.
Terming the action as a significant step towards restoring lasting peace and defeating terrorism, the President reaffirmed the nation’s unwavering resolve to eradicate terrorism and said that operations by Pakistan’s security forces against such elements will continue until complete peace is achieved. He said it is encouraging that Pakistan’s security forces are conducting successful operations against terrorists.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his remarks, said the entire nation stands united in the fight against terrorism and vowed to continue this struggle until the menace is completely wiped out. He said the police officers and personnel thwarted the nefarious designs of the terrorists through a timely and successful operation.
Shehbaz Sharif said that law enforcement agencies have rendered countless sacrifices in this fight against terrorism.
