ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari expressed deep sorrow Tuesday over the death of the mother of Chief of Army Staff COAS General Syed Asim Munir.
In a statement, Zardari offered condolences and solidarity to Munir’s family. “We share the grief of Gen. Syed Asim Munir over his mother’s passing. My heartfelt condolences go out to the bereaved family during this difficult time,” the president said.

He prayed for the departed soul and asked for strength for the family to bear the loss.
